Under Law 17-97, an opposition must be filed within two months from the date of publication of the trademark application in the Official Bulletin.
What should I do if an opposition is filed against my trademark?
You must respond within the time limits set by OMPIC by providing strong arguments. Le Conseillex assists you in this defense.
Can an infringement action be brought without filing an opposition?
Yes. Opposition is an administrative procedure, whereas an infringement action falls under the judicial system. The two procedures can complement each other.
